DESCRIPTION:Children in Kindergarten to 6th grade are invited to join our Adoration Choir this fall! \nPractices will begin on Wednesday\, September 23rd and continue each week through the end of the year. We will all gather at 6:30 p.m. for our time of TeamKid Bible study and then move to choir practice after that. The Lake Hills Women’s Ministry is excited to host an event on Saturday\, November 7th called Made for More. \nThis morning will be a sweet time of fellowship with other women and a time to dive deeper in understanding who God has made us to be. We will have breakfast\, worship\, speakers and breakout sessions…with some fun and laughter in there too. Whether you are a member of Lake Hills or someone in the area looking to connect with community\, this event is for you!! Bring your friends\, your mom\, your sisters\, your coworkers! This event will have something for everyone. \nEvent Details:\nDate: Saturday\, November 7th\nTime: 9:00 a.m. – Noon\nLocation: Lake Hills Church | 370 Lake Drive Candler\, NC\nCost: $10 per person. Childcare is not included in the cost of this event but is available for an additional $5 per child.\n \nSchedule of the day: \n9:00 a.m. – Check-in & Breakfast \n9:25 a.m. – Welcome\, Worship & Main Session with Special Guest Speaker\, Mary Sczudlo \n10:40 a.m. – Breakout sessions \n11:25 a.m. – Closing Session \n12:00 p.m. – Event Concludes \nTake a look at the breakout sessions below and indicate within your registration which one you are most interested in attending. This is not a set in stone decision\, but will help us gauge room sizes and materials needed. \nBreakout Sessions:\n1. Healthy Relationships and Holy Boundaries led by Rachel Henry\nGod created us for relationship\, but loving people well doesn’t mean saying yes to everything or everyone. During this breakout we will cover topics like learning to say “no\,” creating boundaries without bitterness\, how to love people without them becoming your identity\, navigating relationships through different seasons\, and more. We’ll talk about how to love others with both grace and truth while building the kind of godly community where women help one another flourish. \n2. Purpose In The Ordinary led by Tanya Payne\nYour life matters because God has placed you exactly where you are. In this breakout we will dive into what does “calling” actually mean and find ways to see the purpose beyond a career or worldly accomplishments. How do we navigate as our purpose changes? How do we remain faithful with what is right in front of us? We will discuss all of these questions and more. \n3. The Woman God is Making You led by Adelaide Aiken\nGod isn’t finished with you. This session goes beyond trying to become a “better version of yourself” and asks a deeper question: Who is God forming you to become? We’ll talk about spiritual maturity\, surrendering control\, breaking old patterns\, and allowing God to shape your character through every season. Whether you’re 25 or 75\, there is still more of Jesus to know and more growth ahead. \n4. When Life Hurts led by Jean Roper and Peggy Eavenson\nGrief comes in many forms. This session offers an honest\, hope-filled conversation about walking with God through loss and loneliness. We’ll talk about making room to grieve\, letting others walk alongside us\, finding joy again without forgetting what was lost\, and discovering how God can use our own pain to help us comfort others. \n5. When You Feel Stuck led by Taylor Taylor\nSometimes life doesn’t look anything like we thought it would. Whether you’re waiting\, starting over\, facing an unexpected change\, or simply wondering what God is doing\, this session is for the in-between seasons. We’ll talk honestly about disappointment\, trusting God when He feels silent\, and learning to recognize His work even when you can’t see the whole picture. \n6. Who God Says You Are led by Ashley Oliver\nYour identity isn’t something you have to earn. It is something you receive from God. This session is about finding your identity in what God says about you\, not in what you do\, what others think\, or how your life compares to someone else’s. We’ll talk about letting go of comparison\, believing God’s truth about who you are\, and living with confidence in every season. \nWe cannot wait to gather together for this Made For More event! DESCRIPTION:Jesus didn’t call us just to know the Gospel. He called us to go and make disciples. \nEvery day\, we cross paths with people who are carrying burdens\, asking questions\, and searching for something more. Sometimes the simplest conversation or act of kindness can open the door for God to do something incredible. \nWe know that sharing our faith can sometimes feel intimidating. Where do we start? What do we say? What if we don’t have all the answers? That is why we are excited for Live Sent Sunday where we will tackle all of these questions and more. \nSunday\, November 8\, we’re coming together as a church family for Live Sent Sunday! During a special combined LifeGroup gathering\, we’ll hear from guest speaker Kevin Duffy.  Kevin serves as a pastor in Fayetteville\, NC and has lots of practical experience teaching others how to share their faith. He will challenge and encourage us to see the people around us through a different lens. He will help us better understand what it looks like to live with purpose and share the hope of Jesus with others. \nBut the conversation doesn’t stop there! We’ll gather again Sunday evening for a more in-depth\, practical training. And the following two weeks we will offer a Wednesday night class designed to equip you with the confidence and tools to share your faith in everyday life. \nYou don’t have to be a pastor\, theologian\, or gifted speaker. You just have to be willing. \nJoin us as we learn what it means to LIVE SENT! \n  \nSunday Morning Schedule \n9:30 a.m. – All 9:30 LifeGroups will gather in the Family Life Center \n11:00 a.m. – All 11:00 a.m. LifeGroups will gather in the Family Life Center \nCommunity LifeGroups are welcome to join either hour. \nLight refreshments and coffee/water available.  \nKID MIN\, STUDENTS and BOTH SERVICES will operate as normal.  \nSunday Afternoon\nJoin us back at church for a deeper practical training with Kevin where we will learn how to turn everyday conversations into gospel conversations. We will gather in the Family Life Center at 5:15 p.m.  \nKevin will lead our College Ministry gathering that evening as well at 6:30 p.m. \n  \nFour Week Wednesday Night Class \nWe truly believe there are few things more important than learning and knowing how to share our faith. Not just knowing the right things to say\, but having the confidence to walk boldly in living out the Great Commission in our every day life. One big change is that the services will both be in the morning instead of afternoon and evening. \nDoors open for the first service at 8:30 a.m. | Service is from 9:00 a.m. -10:15 a.m.\n\nDoors open for the first service at 10:30 a.m. | Service if from 11:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m. \nWe cannot wait to celebrate the Christmas season with our church family and community. This worshipful candlelight Christmas service is a perfect time to get your family and friends together to worship and remember the reason for the season…our Savior\, Jesus. \nIn addition to our Christmas service\, our lobby will have yummy treats\, coffee and hot coco\, family photo opps and more!! \n  \nThere are NO TICKET RESERVATIONS THIS YEAR! Seats in both services will be first come\, first serve.  \nNo childcare will be provided\, but they are invited to attend the service. \n
