DESCRIPTION:Join Lake Hills Church as we come together to support families in our community this holiday season. Every year when children go home for Christmas break\, the meals that they count on getting during school hours have to come from somewhere else. For many families\, finding the means to supply these extra meals for their children is a challenge\, and they often go without. We are working closely with social workers at Candler Middle School\, Candler Intermediate\, Pisgah Elementary\, Hominy Valley Elementary\, Candler Elementary\, and Sand Hill Elementary to identify 100 families most in need this holiday season. We have 130 families signed up to receive boxes this year. \n  \nHow to get involved\nStop by the lobby on one of the next two Sundays\, grab a food supply list and your boxes. You can choose to fill one box or two. Each of the families we serve will receive 2 boxes. Once you have filled your box or boxes\, return to the lobby by December 7th.  \nDecember 11th we will hold a distribution day where the families will be able to come by the church and get their set of boxes. We will need people to help serve during this day. DESCRIPTION:Join us for Easter at Lake Hills as we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior\, Jesus! \nEaster is a time in which we celebrate that Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross and three days later he defeated sin and death and rose again! In the moment when Jesus rose from the grave\, He not only showed that God’s power is stronger than death itself\, but He also showed us that from the very beginning of time\, God had a plan to redeem a broken world. In the days after his death\, the world around him was dark. There was fear and sadness. But on that first Easter Sunday when he breathed again\, He showed once and for all that Jesus can be trusted. \nAs we approach another Easter\, God invites each of us reflect on what the cross means for you. God had you in mind when he sacrificed His son so you could experience forgiveness. The story of Easter is one big love story of God’s amazing love. \nWe will have services at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.\nThere will be no LifeGroups. \nChildren from birth through sixth grade are invited to participate in a fun Kid’s Worship service at each hour. \n  \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:All VBS Volunteers – please make it a priority to attend this important VBS training! \nDuring our time together you will learn new policies and procedures for this year\, meet your team and plan out your VBS week. \nYou will also be able to pick up your VBS T-Shirt at the training. If you are able\, we are asking for a suggested donation of $10 to help offset the cost. \nRegistration for this event is required! DESCRIPTION:No Kids Worship on the 5th Sunday! \nAll kids kindergarten-6th grade will attend the 11:00 a.m. service with their families. We want to take a break from Kids Worship to allow families to worship together and for children to learn what it means to worship with their church family. \nIf you as a parent serve during the second service\, a Kid Min chaperone will take your child to service. \nAll preschool and nursery children will remain in their normal classes. All 9:30 Kid LifeGroups will meet as normal.

DESCRIPTION:Vacation Bible School 2026 is June 15-18!!  \nJoin us for ILLUMINATION STATION and shine a light on who Jesus is! \nKids will explore all the ways light brightens\, illuminates\, reflects\, and reveals while discovering that Jesus is the light who brings hope to a dark world! Like the disciples\, kids will be challenged to answer Jesus’ question\, “Who do you say that I am?” They will discover it’s not a matter of opinion. Jesus is who Scripture says He is—the perfect\, proven\, and powerful Son of God. \nEach day will be filled with worship\, recreation\, snacks\, Bible time\, crafts\, and more! SUMMARY:West Virginia Mission Trip
DESCRIPTION:This fall we are joining alongside our mission partner\, Redemption Church for a short-term family mission trip to Beckley\, West Virginia. This trip is geared towards families but open to all. The hope is that children and parents will be able to serve side by side and learn what it means to fulfill The Great Commission together! \nNoah and Cheyanne Toney are two of Lake Hills’ mission partners. They have planted a church in Beckley West Virginia. During this trip we will participate in community outreach to share the Gospel and help bring awareness to the church. \nDETAILS – \nTrip Dates: October 2-5\, 2025\nCost: $150 per person\nAge Requirements: All children must be accompanied by at least one parent. If only one parent is coming\, the child must be at least 3rd grade. If both parents are present\, no age restrictions. \nFinal deadline to register is June15th. There are limited spots and we expect this trip to fill up so don’t wait to register.
