WHAT IS CORE 4?

At Lake Hills, helping you understand your faith and the role that plays in your life is one of our highest priorities. We want everyone who comes to Lake Hills, no matter where they are on their discipleship journey, to know and understand, and truly dive into: Your Church, Your Faith,  Your Community, and Your Misson. We offer several classes throughout the year that are focused on these spiritual developments. Whether you are new to Lake Hills, new to your faith, wanting to know more about spiritual gifts and how to use them, or hoping to gain more knowledge and confidence in sharing your faith, these short-term LifeGroup style classes are designed with your spiritual maturity in mind to help you become a better Christian and a better church member.

In this class geared towards new members, visiting guests, or long-time members wanting to know more, you will:

  • Get a “behind the scenes” tour of Lake Hills Church
  • Learn who we are, what we believe and how we lead
  • Understand what being a member means and how to become one
  • Meet staff members and other leaders in the church

Having a solid foundation isn’t just practical it’s biblical. This class will help you truly know your faith through understanding:

  • The reliability of scripture
  • The importance of prayer
  • The role of the church
  • What ministry like Christ looks like

PLACE Ministry helps you own your faith through:

  • Discovering how God has uniquely designed you
  • Identifying your personality and spiritual gifts
  • Helping you understand how and where to best invest those gifts

FAQs

While we recommend everyone start with Discover if they have never taken it, these classes can be taken in any order you choose.

These classes are offered during the LifeGroup hours on Sunday mornings for a few weeks in a row. During those couple of weeks, you would attend your Core 4 class. Once the course is completed you can go back to your regular LifeGroup.

We offer Discover Lake Hills once each quarter, 4 times a year. Fundamentals, PLACE, and Gospel Conversations are offered various times throughout the year.
