Serve Week is an opportunity for us to join together as a church to love on and serve our community. 

We are working closely with a few of our local mission partners to organize a few different service opportunities throughout the area during the week of August 10-15.

Below is a list of the service opportunities we will be participating in. Read the descriptions and find one that will work for you. Sign up to let us know you are planning to attend and we will send you further information.

Pisgah Elementary 

Project: General landscaping including brush clearing.
Day & Time: Monday, August 10 and Wednesday, August 12 | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: 1495 Pisgah Hwy, Candler, NC 28715

Hominy Valley Recreation Park

Project: We will be painting and repairing dugouts along with a few other maintenance needs.
Day & Time: Monday, August 10 | 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Location:  25 Twin Lakes Dr, Candler, NC 28715
Notes: This project is lead by the Student Ministry and geared mostly towards students and their families.

Enka High School 

Project: We will be doing some maintenance and grounds work.
Day & Time: Tuesday, August 11 | 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Notes: This project is lead by the Student Ministry and geared mostly towards students and their families.

Enka Middle School 

Project: We will be pressure washing around the campus.
Day & Time: Wednesday, August 12 | 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Baptist on Mission  

Project: We will be joining Baptist on Mission to help work on a house being rebuilt after Helene.
Day & Time: Tuesday, August 11 – Thursday, August 13 | 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Location: Swannanoa – Specific address to be announced
Notes: This will be a job that requires physical labor but there will be projects for various levels of ability. This project is limited to those 14 and up.

Black Mountain Home for Children  

Project: Team will cook and prepare dinner for 3 of the dorm houses.
Day & Time: Thursday, August 13

Project: Helene clean up. Heavy machinery landscaping and down tree removal.
Day & Time: Thursday, August 13 | 9:00 AM-3:00 PM

Emmanuel Lutheran School 

Project: Basic landscaping such as weeding, mulching and planting.
Day & Time: Friday, August 14 | 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
