Join Lake Hills Church as we come together to support families within the local schools. Every year when children go home for Christmas break, the meals that they count on getting during school hours have to come from somewhere else. For many families, finding the means to supply these extra meals for their children is a challenge, and they often go without. Lake Hills is partnering with the Ingles in our community to provide boxes of food that will help these families make it through the winter break. We have a goal of providing boxes for over 100 families this year and we need our church family and community’s support. We are working closely with social workers at Candler Middle School, Candler Intermediate, Pisgah Elementary, Hominy Valley Elementary, Candler Elementary, and Sand Hill Elementary to identify the families most in need this holiday season.


How to get involved

Download the shopping list of items at the bottom of this page and head to Ingles to shop. There are drop-off boxes located at the Ingles on Sand Hill Road as well as in the Lobby of our church. You can purchase all of the items or a few. We will also take donations in the form of gift cards. Donations will be accepted starting November 12th up until December 4th. Once all the donations are collected and organized we will pack the boxes on Wednesday, December 6th at 5:00 p.m..


On December 13th we will host a drive thru pick up from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. during which the families will come to get their boxes.


We need volunteers for both 12/6 and 12/13. If you are interested in serving either of those days, please sign up below.
